Character Introduction

Starlight Billy is a Physical Rupture agent from the Cunning Hares faction.

Role & Mechanics

Starlight Billy is a DPS that exchanges his HP for damage. His main goal will be to accumulate his unique resource, Determination, through various means, most notably using his Special Attacks at the cost of his own HP. This Special Attack can also be used to block enemy attacks, allowing him to chain into different combos via tap SA or hold SA. With enough Determination points, Starlight Billy can use a hold Basic Attack for a powerful beam attack, dealing greater damage. While he sacrifices his HP for damage, he also has several methods within his skill set to heal himself up, thus ensuring his survivability.

Meta Relevance

Starlight Billy works best in late game stages that lack Physical RES. Despite his numbers be allegedly a little better than Yixuan's. the latter would still see more chances in late game stages due to majority bosses' lower Ether RES nature.

Pros & Cons

Starlight Billy's skill floor is low, having easy combos with great damage numbers that make him newbie-friendly, but he is essentially expensive to invest into due to involvement of multiple skills in his rotations. 

Build

Starlight Billy should be built with 4pc Yunkui Tales plus 2pc Woodpecker Electro (Crit R.) OR 2pc Branch & Blade Song (Crit DMG), focusing on Crit, HP and Physical DMG main stats until around ~65%+ Crit R. His best W-Engine is Starlight Rider Faceplate (5★), with Qingming Birdcage (5★), Cauldron of Clarity (4★), or Grill O'Wisp (4★) as substitutes. After leveling up Core skill, prioritize his Special Attack, Chain Attack and Basic Attack. His M1 is recommended for additional Adrenaline gain and Physical RES ignore.
