Nangong Yu is an Ether Stun agent from the Angels of Delusion faction.

Role & Mechanics

Nangong Yu is a Quickswap Anomaly stunner. She can convert extra Anomaly Mastery to Impact while having a higher innate Anomaly Proficiency, making her more geared for Anomaly teams in general. Having Stun DMG multiplier boost, Stun duration extension and Quick Assist aside, she can also boost the squad's DMG, as well as triggering extra damage via Ablooms and Polarized Disorder.

Meta Relevance

Nangong Yu's utility makes her a versatile BiS unit for Anomaly teams. In end game stages where Anomaly DPS is preferred, Nangong Yu can contribute to boosting the team's damage output.

Pros & Cons

Nangong Yu's multitude of buffing utilities can be deemed permanent if you can execute her simple combo well, which isn't really hard to achieve. However, she needs multiple skills leveled, making her expensive to invest. She also has higher reliance for her W-Engine as other options would likely put a dent on her personal damage contribution.

Build

Nangong Yu should be built with 4pc Phaeton's Melody plus 2pc Freedom Blues (AP) OR 2pc Shining Aria (Ether%), focusing on AP and ATK main stats until around ~350 AP. Her best W-Engine is Neon Fantasies (5★), with Roaring Fur-nance (5★), Precious Fossilized Core (4★), or Steam Oven (4★) as substitutes. After leveling up Core skill, prioritize her Basic Attack, Special Attack and Chain Attack. Her M2 is recommended for greater Abloom DMG and Stun DMG multiplier, as well as extra Polarity Disorder trigger.

Pull Priority

Aside from being the final piece of AoD lineup, she is a highly recommended Stun unit for Anomaly teams. Prioritze her W-Engine over her Mindscapes.

Best paired with Anomaly unit (Miyabi/Alice/etc.). Angel of Delusion team (Aria+Nangong+Sunna) is her ideal premium lineup for extra interactions between her teammates.

Nangong Yu is essentially a strong Stun unit with potent buffing utilities, mostly catered to Anomaly teams. Even if you do not plan to form the full AoD lineup, she is still a great unit if you have invested into Anomaly teams, but keep in mind that her BiS W-Engine is also highly preferrable as it helps her to contribute more to her team. The other options are still viable, but it will be at the cost of her personal damage.

If you wish to enhance your Anomaly teams or form a full AoD team, Nangong Yu will be the high value pull to go for.
