Character Introduction

Mortenax Blade is a Fire Nihility character.

Role & Mechanics

Mortenax Blade is a support DPS, whose both utility and personal damage are heavily tied to his Ultimate. Upon using his Ultimate, he will enter an enhance state while deploying the zone. While the zone is present, DEF shred is applied onto enemies while allies can deal increased damage. With different lineups, either allies get additional Ultimate damage boost, or Mortenax Blade gets additional damage boost. During his enhanced state, Mortenax Blade gets Crit boost, some taunt and survivability. When his Charge stacks are full (from allies attacks or getting hit), he will then use Skill automatically for AOE damage.

Meta Relevance

Similar to Tribbie, Mortenax Blade can be widely used in multiple teams. His offensive utilities with damage output makes him a great flexible unit in meta teams.

Pros & Cons

Mortenax Blade has consistent debuff uptime with decent damage output and survivability, making him a flexible unit for any teams. The only caveat is that his whole schtick is tied to his Ultimate, making him heavily reliant on his Ultimate.

Build

Mortenax Blade should be built with either 4-piece Divine-Querying Master Smith set or 4-piece Guard of Wuthering Snow set, with Planar sets consisting of either Sprightly Vonwacq or Bone Collection's Serene Demesne. Focus on Crit and HP stats, preferably having around 80% Crit R. and around 5000~7000+ HP. His best lightcone is Reforged in Hellfire (5★), with Lies Dance on the Breeze (5★), Before the Tutorial Mission Starts (4★), or Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat (4★) as substitutes. His Ultimate, Talent and Skill should be your talent priorities. His recommended early eidolon is E2, for FUA damage boost and decreased max Charge stacks.

Pull Priority

A recommended unit for players needing general supports. He will be the best upgrade to Acheron's team in particular. E1 is preferred over his BiS lightcone.

Team Building

Best paired with either Nihility DPS (Acheron) or FUA DPS (Ashveil/Feixiao/etc.). Having frequent attackers (Tribbie/Hyacine/etc.) will help with his Charge stacks.
