Ashveil Build Guide (Honkai: Star Rail): Lightcones, Eidolon & Team Setup Recommendations
(Info Updated on 03 March 2026)

Ashveil is a DPS unit in Honkai: Star Rail. Build him with Ashblazing set and Duran set. Equip him with The Finale of a Lie lightcone for better damage output and supportive utility.

Ashveil is a Lightining The Hunt character in Honkai: Star Rail. He is a Follow-up Attack (FUA) focused DPS unit with some supportive utilities. His main gimmick is to mark an enemy target (via Skill or Ultimate) then unleash a FUA whenever an ally attacks the marked target. After using his Ultimate, he will then unleash enhanced FUA on marked target. When the marked target dies from the enhanced FUA sequence, said FUA sequence can continue on the new marked target. This particular mechanic lets him capable of clearing AOE stages despite his single-target oriented kit.
1. Build Guide: Role, Mechanics & Team Use
Character Introduction
Ashveil is a Lightning The Hunt character.
Role & Mechanics
Ashveil is a DPS of Follow-up Attack (FUA) archetype. He marks an enemy target as Bait which he will be unleashing FUA whenever an ally attacks said marked enemy. His Ultimate will unleash enhanced FUA to the Bait, and said instance of FUA can continue on the next Bait if the current one is killed by that instance. He also provides DEF shred and teamwide Crit DMG boost, granting him a sub DPS role.
Meta Relevance
Despite Ashveil's single-target oriented skillset, his enhanced FUA lets him capable of clearing AOE content more comfortably. His may not be as strong as other recent DPS, but his skillset is hinting a possibility of a FUA main DPS in the future.
Pros & Cons
Ashveil's high frequency of attacks and supportive utilities are great assets to his teams, not to mention his SP efficient playstyle has made the team's SP economy more comfortable. However, FUA niche has been negated for a long while, making his appearance in recent endgame smaller.
Build
Ashveil should be built with either 4-piece The Ashblazing Grand Duke set or 4-piece Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters set, with Planar sets consisting of either Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves or City of Converging Stars. Focus on Crit, SPD and ATK stats, preferably having around 3K+ ATK and around 100% Crit R. His best lightcone is The Finale of a Lie (5★), with Baptism of Pure Thought (5★), Cruising in the Stellar Sea (5★), or See You at the End (4★) as substitutes. His Skill, Talent and Ultimate should be your talent priorities. His recommended early eidolon is E1, for Vulnerability on enemies.
Pull Priority
A recommended DPS for players wanting to revisit their FUA teams. If you don't have good alternative lightcone options, pull for his lightcone over his eidolons.

5. Conclusion — Is Ashveil Worth Pulling?
Ashveil is a DPS unit that not only has decent damage output, but also provide supportive utilities to his team, allowing him to fit in both main or sub DPS roles. The only thing however, is FUA is a rather outdated niche by today's meta standards (the last FUA focused unit released is Feixiao, prior to Amphoreus patch), so Ashveil wouldn't really see much action in Elation shilled endgame content. That being said, judging by the game's character release patterns, there is a chance of a new FUA DPS being released in this Planarcadia patch, perhaps hope is still not lost after all.
Whether you're a F2P player or a meta-driven competitor, if you wish to revisit your FUA teams, Ashveil is a recommended unit to go for.
