Varka is a Hexerei DPS in Genshin Impact. Build him with A Day Carved From Rising Winds set and Gest of the Mighty Wolf as weapon choice for better damage output.
Varka is an Anemo claymore character in Genshin Impact. He is an on-field DPS that can deal different elemental damage at the same time, similar to Chasca. Having a Hexerei passive, Varka is recommended in Hexerei teams to ease his rotations. As future patches will be introducing more of the Hexerei niche, Varka would have potential to rival other DPS units in coming versions.

Role & Mechanics
Varka is an on-field Hexerei DPS, who can deal different elemental damage at once in his enhanced infused state. Use his Skill to infuse his attacks with Anemo and another element according to your teammates, which then also subsequently allows him to use special Skill or special Charged Attack, all dealing both elemental damage at the same time.
Meta Relevance
Varka unfortunately doesn't have the necessary high damage number instances compared to other recent released DPS units. Given he is a part of the Hexerei niche however, there is likely a chance for future Hexerei units that synergizes with him very well. Needless to say, he has his potential in future endgame stages.
Pros & Cons
Varka's playstyle is theoretically simplistic, and has a high potential with future teammates in coming patches. Yet, his full DPS potential is locked behind specific lineups, not to mention of his lower damage multipliers or numbers compared to other recent DPS units.
Build
Varka should be built with either 4-piece A Day Carved From Rising Winds set or 4-piece Shimenawa's Reminiscence set, focusing on Crit and ATK stats, preferably having around 2500 ATK or above. His best weapon is Gest of the Might Wolf (5★), with A Thousand Blazing Suns (5★), Serpent Spine (4★), or Tidal Shadow (4★) as substitutes. His Skill should be your talent leveling priority, followed by his Burst. His C1 is recommended for extra special Skill usage and special Skill/Charged Attack DMG.

Team Building
Varka's first passive boosts his damage the most when double Anemo and double PHEC (Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo) lineup is used. As such, he is best paired with another Anemo unit (Venti/Sucrose/Kazuha/etc.), with other 2 units being of the same PHEC element (Durin/Furina/Sara/Shenhe/etc). Among the teammates, it is recommended to have one of them being a Hexerei unit (Venti/Durin/Fischl/Mona/etc.) to trigger Varka's Hexerei's passive.

5. Conclusion — Is Varka Worth Pulling?
There have been discussions on Varka's damage numbers ever since his debut on beta servers. Compared to other recent releases, Varka's multipliers unfortunately seemed somewhat low for today's standard, which would eventually deter meta-focused players away. However, given that this is only the Hexerei's second new unit to date, there is no doubt that in the future there will be more Hexerei units that can help with Varka's performance.
