Lohen is a Cryo polearm character.

Role & Mechanics

Lohen is a Hexerei on-field DPS, mainly dealing damage in his enhanced state. Using his Skill infuses his attacks with Cryo, and he will slowly accumulating Joy and Will to Win, both tied to his special Skill. Once he maxes out Joy stacks, he can use his special Skill. Will of Win can be gained when a teammate is dealing enough damage off-field, somehwere around 1000~3000%+ of his own base ATK. The higher his Will of Win stacks are, the higher the damage his special Skill and Burst can deal.

Meta Relevance

Lohen is simply a DPS, he'd fare well in endgame stages if your investment on other team members is decently high enough.

Pros & Cons

Lohen can deal decent damage with a simplistic combo, the latter due to his charged attack consuming less stamina. However, his better damage potential is locked behind Hexerei synergy, and thus having rather restrictive team options.

Build

Lohen should be built with either 4-piece A Day Carved From Rising Winds set or 4-piece Blizzard Strayer set, focusing on Crit and ATK stats, preferably having around 70%+ Crit R. His best weapon is Disaster and Remorse (5★), with Primodial Jade Winged-Spear (5★), Deathmatch (4★), or Sacrificer's Staff (4★) as substitutes. His Skill should be your talent leveling priority, followed by his Burst. His C2 is recommended for additional AOE damage and teamwide EM boost.

Team Building

Best paired with at least a Hexerei unit (Durin/Nicole/etc.). The secondary damage dealer should have enough damage output, Dark Durin in particular fits the bill the best.

Lohen is simply an on-field DPS that works best in duo DPS lineups. Compared to Nicole (generalist support) and Sandrone (Stellat Conduct core), he has way lower chance of standing out on his own as the other two outshine him in terms of utility. If you do not have enough pull resources and have very little interest toward Durin (and Lohen), then meta wise he is a skippable option unfortunately.

If you want a Cryo DPS, Lohen would be a good choice to go for, especially if you already have Durin in your roster.
