Section 1:How to Play Identity V?

1.1. Overview of Gameplay

In Identity V, five players take on two roles: one Hunter and four Survivors.

The Hunter's goal is to capture Survivors and place them on Rocket Chairs to eliminate them.

Survivors must work together to decode five Cipher Machines to unlock the exit gates and escape.

Roles:

• Survivors:
Decode Cipher Machines and evade the Hunter.

Hunter:
Captures Survivors and places them on Rocket Chairs.

Objectives:

• Hunter Wins:
Eliminate at least three Survivors.

Survivors Win:
At least three escape through the exit gates.

Dungeon Escape:
If there is only one Survivor left and at least two Cipher Machines are decoded, they can escape through the dungeon.

Tie:
If neither side meets the win conditions.

1.2. Basic Gameplay Mechanics

1.2.1. Survivor Gameplay

• Movement:
Survivors can run, walk, or crawl to avoid the Hunter. Use hiding spots like lockers but be cautious, as hiding can be risky.

• Decoding:
Survivors need to decode five Cipher Machines scattered around the map to power up the exit gates. Be careful of failed calibrations that alert the Hunter.

• Rescue:
When a teammate is captured and placed on a rocket chair, other Survivors can attempt to rescue them. Timing is crucial to avoid getting caught.

• Escape Routes:
Survivors can escape through exit gates or use the dungeon if there’s only one Survivor left after at least two Cipher Machines are decoded.

• Tools & Abilities:
Each Survivor has unique abilities and tools like syringes for self-healing, flashlights to stun the Hunter, or maps to locate ciphers.

1.2.2. Hunter Gameplay

• Tracking & Capturing:
Hunters must chase and capture Survivors. After two hits, a Survivor is incapacitated and can be picked up and placed on a rocket chair.

• Abilities:
Hunters have unique abilities that help them locate and capture Survivors. These abilities improve as they gain Presence by attacking Survivors.

• Movement:
Hunters move faster than Survivors but are slower when vaulting through windows. Use abilities to close the distance and prevent escapes.

• Control:
Keep pressure on the Cipher Machines to disrupt Survivors’ progress and prevent them from opening the gates.

1.3. Tips and Strategies

1.3.1 Master the Persona Structure in Identity V

The Persona Structure in Identity V allows you to unlock and equip powerful talents for your characters.

Here’s how it works:

What It Is?
A web of passive traits (Talents) found in the Notebook under the "Persona" tab.

Talent Points
You start with 120 points to unlock different abilities. Earn more by completing matches and performing actions.

Behavior Types
The Instrinsic Persona Webs are split into four behaviors for each compass direction, which also correlate to the name of the behavior during matches.

Survivor Behaviors

Tranquility  Friendliness
Persistence Bravery

Hunter Behaviors

Tough Dread (formerly Deterrence)
Vigilance Deceit

Final Talents
Strong traits at the end of each web direction. You can unlock two per web.

Create multiple Talent Pages to suit your playstyle and switch them anytime before matches.

Customize and dominate with the perfect setup!
